About Me

I am a map-maker of sorts. A writer because it keeps apathy and possibly a few medical problems at bay.  (Working cross-word puzzles might do the same thing but I don't own a pencil and there's not a whole lot of room if you screw up.) I keep fish tanks . . . too many to count and of many varieties for both aquatic and terrestrial creatures.) I am so grateful to the invention of acrylic; you wouldn't want to be in my home when an earthquake hits.

I am a gardener too although most of my gardening is also confined to fishtanks. (We will get into that later.) And there's the tiny trees and penjing (did I spell that right?) landscapes. And the ferns and orchids in a falling down greenhouse (loosely speaking)

(Regarding that picture . . . the young lady is supposed to be mourning over her love.) His head is in that pot of basil.  I do love that pot. The basil . . . not so much.

I read many books. None of them on Kindle. Lately, I have been reading paranormal YA. Its unforgivable really, considering my age. I should really buy those on Kindle . . . the better to hide my shame. haha.  But almost everything interests me . . . hence the maps.

I am a citizen of Second Life. This is not an online game . . . like WOW (World of Warcraft) where you play a game to earn points and prizes and amass armies. It's a virtual world. Second Life is what you put into it. Its like that Robin Williams movie where he goes to heaven and heaven is painted with gorgeous colors and birds splat you with oils and people fly. Second Life is like that.  I am a sim builder. Call it . . . a guilty pleasure. It does cost (they charge you for server space) and I don't have rental sims. Its just for people to wander about.

And there's my roommate . . . I am not sure he's human . . .

But that's for another day . . .
